This movie is life-changing every time I see it. [Nov. 4th, 2009|09:45 am]
The Invisible

I know there's probably not anyone who's going to see this post for a while since the community is pretty dead, but I had to try and see if I could relate to anyone on the same level as me with this film.

I finished watching it for the (tenth, twentieth time?), about an hour ago, and I just am always so amazed by the beauty of this film.

I think a lot of it has to do with the main characters Nick and Annie (mostly Annie) on their lives; mostly the ones they live inside their heads, the pain and loneliness they both feel. It's tragic, that, in desperate times, and even in death, they found each other; if only they'd met under different circumstances, things would have turned out differently.

and, though that's what some of us lovers of Annie's character hoped would have happened, the movie wouldn't be what it is. it's about two lost souls finding each other; but, like the last scene showed us, that even in death Nick never let go of her. I think that's what makes this movie beautiful in the long run.

well, I could go on and on and on about this movie, but maybe when the time comes- when I have a reply to this, someone who relates with my connection and love of this film, I can talk all I want about it. and I'd love to hear from anyone who does relate.

blessed be,

me too. it makes me mad that it got such bad ratings/reviews by so many people. I think movie critics and such just look for what is supposed to make a good movie (ie Oscar-winner actors and such) and not really see a movie for what it is.
I tell everyone about this movie, as much as possible. it's such a beautiful movie, definitely an all time favorite, if not my most favorite.

Oh, you're definitely not alone. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this movie - my anal retentive side pipes in every once in awhile when I watch it, and there are moments when I want to tear the score apart and *fix* it - but I just adore the characters, the acting... and the whole storyline is, like you said, tragically beautiful. For the longest time I've wanted to write an AU fanfic where wee!Nick did notice Annie and befriend her, and explore how their lives might have turned out differently. It's sad to me that there isn't a bigger fandom for this movie (we don't even have a section to ourselves on ff.net, for cripe's sake!).

I guess, for me, anyway, there was just always something really amazing about the fact that after everything they went through, everything that he went through, Nick was finally able to really see Annie. And, you know... he was her one good thing. What else is there to say about it? *tears up*

I agree, though, more discussions about this movie would be awesome - discussions, fic, icons; I'm not picky.

I actually really loved the soundtrack lol

I had an idea the other day of a crossover fic with this but ehh I'm not sure about it heh.

I just finished watching this movie about 10 minutes ago. I never stop getting that feeling of amazement after I'm done watching it! It's so beautiful and heartbreaking. I can't believe more people have not seen this movie. The acting is just flawless. I really wish Justin Chatwin and Margarita Levieva had more roles in acting. They're really spectacular.

I've seen Margarita in two other movies; Adventureland and Spread. she's actually a favorite actress of mine now :]

what sucks, I heard that she was in a Broadway show back in April/May, and I had taken my first NYC trip in April. I was so mad lol. she really is stunning.
